new twist on an old recipe.
    1 3 - 4 lb moose roast.
    1/2 tsp of salt
    1/4 tsp coarse pepper.
2 large cloves of garlic crushed.
    6 large potatoes.
    8 peeled carrots.
    1 onion quartered.
1 liter of beef broth.(no other fluids)
2 over cooked and crushed up pieces of bacon.
Toss into a slow cooker and cook for 6+ hours or in a big pot on top of a wood stove with the temp regulated at 200 degrees F all day.
    It melts in your mouth.
If you want substitute beef for moose. Feeds 6

Just made an epic breakfast. Grilled bacon cheese french toast.
It started when I wanted an omelet, and french toast.

Make your french toast. After the one side is cooked, flip the first piece. Add bacon and cheese, place the second piece on top, cooked side down. Then just flip when required like a grilled cheese. I just topped mine with butter. No pictures, I ate it to damn fast.

*sigh* anybody got a good recipe for tag bacon? I understand it'll be a little thin and I prefer thick slice but I'm tired of tag soup

Heck I buy my bacon by the case.

    Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf
1 lb ground whatever you have.
    1 lb sliced bacon
A bunch of shredded or cubed cheese of your choice. I use jalapeno jack. Maybe a cup? I just eyeball stuff til it looks good.
    1 egg
    bread crumbs/ panko/ cracker crumbs/ corn flakes(crushed) I have used them all.
    Salt and pepper to taste
Any kind of mustard you like
Make a bacon weave out of the slices (not difficult)
Mix meat, egg, cheese, big squirt of mustard, salt and pepper and enough bread crumbs to make firm.
Roll meat mixture into a log shape just the length of your bacon weave.
Place it on the weave and roll up.
Bake on a rack in a baking dish to catch the grease for about 45 minutes.
DO NOT try to bake it in a loaf pan like a regular meatloaf unless u enjoy your meat boiled in bacon grease. Trust me on this. It is not as appealing as it sounds.
Cut into slices and serve with all the regular burger fixings.
It is good to remember that a 9mm might expand but a .45 won't shrink

I have a couple that i make pretty regularly.

    Bacon Kale Thing

Chop up a package of bacon. Fry it till slightly crispy. Remove Bacon but keep fat in pan.
Throw in an entire bunch of chopped kale (yes, a vegetable), I usually add stems a couple minutes earlier as they're tough.
Saute the kale until it shrinks a bit and is super green.
Toss the bacon bacon back in, stir it up and serve with a little balsamic vinegar and ground salt and pepper.
(we eat Paleo from time to time and this is the best way to eat kale. i guess any vegetable + bacon = best way to cook said vegetable)

    Bacon Jalapeno Bites

Sorry for no real quantities, i just eyeball everything.

Halve a crapload of jalapenos lengthwise. (remove seeds/stem and as much white as you are comfortable with, they lose a lot of heat during cooking)
Chop up some bacon (1/2 pkg) and fry it up, remove and drain on paper towels.
Chop up some left over rotisserie chicken. Toss in a bowl with a 1/2 pkg of cream cheese. Add bacon and around a cup of some grated cheese (jalapeno or habanero cheddar are great, mont jack is good, anything will do)
Cram the filing into your jalapeno halves (a little higher than level with the jalapeno sides)
Then flip the thing over and roll the filling side in panko crumbs.
Toss them on a wire rack over a cookie sheet and cook in a fairly hot oven (375-400 ish, broiling probably okay) until a little brown on top. You may have to play with the temp setting a bit to get the right combination of pepper doneness to crispy top.

I sometimes get a little territorial with these and have eaten an entire cookie tray in a single setting.

EDIT: Eat paper towels from step 2

That does sound delicious, I love the cream cheese stuffed jalapenos, adding bacon and chicken is genius!
