Remington rebarrel. Cerekoting ,muzzle brake, bolt knob, recoil lug, chambering and action blueprinted by EM Precision.
    Bartlein 1:7 twist 30" barrel.
I installed the Timmeny trigger, AI bottom metal and bedded the Bell and Carlson stock. It wears a Nightforce 5-20 SHV with ATRS rings.
The rifle shoots like a dream, hitting a dirt rats at 300 everytime if I do my part and it gets windy where I shoot in southern Alberta.
The only problem I have is my 36g Varmint grenades explode at 30 yards out. Too much spin I guess but 75g and 80g works, I plan on using some 90g too.

Yeah, you'll need some heavies for that barrel. I've taken 80gr VLD's to 800m with really good results. That rifle looks like it should be able to get out that far too.

Not what many would call this precision but I make it work. Its a savage 111 in 300 win mag. Its the non accutrigger model so I was able to adjust the trigger down a bit, I also lapped the rings and topped it with a 4-16 viper. With hand loads I am ringing an 8 inch gong out to 700 yards (I had 2 touching at 500.. not sure if that was luck or skill though) and at the poker rally shoot I missed the 1300 yard by inches... INCHES! that hurt a little. Anyway, Ive got big plans for new.... everything on this gun but I have this damn fool idea to do it all myself because I would like to be a gunsmith so its a slow process.

A couple of friends and I were out stretching our legs last week. We started with smaller calibers (260 Tikka CTR and a modern hunter and 308 Remington with a fancy stock and timmney trigger)at 550 yards then 740 yards.
The 308 (shown at rear of pic) dropped out at 1100 Yards with no hits, mostly due to ammunition choice, optics and new shooter, then we dropped the 260s and pulled out the 338s to really get out there.

The first gun is not mine but it's a 338 Lapua, Surgeon action, Jewel trigger, Kreiger barrel, Terminator T4 brake and AI mag with a McMillan A5 stock. NXS Nightforce 22 power scope. I love the brake on this rifle, it feels like a 243, but it is obnoxious if you are to the side.

The second rifle is mine and previously posted with details but is a custom 338 Lapua Ackley.

We were able to range a nice rock face at 1890 yards with the Sig kilo 2400 range finder and put some rounds on moss and rocks. The targets were roughly 1 MOA across and depending on wind we were scoring hits after the first 2 were sent and corrected.
