It's Wolvie in his element. Profane, and graphically violent. I lost count of how many guys got claws through their heads on camera. There were 2 decapitations, neither of which was caused by Logan himself. The only "meh" part for me was the nod to "Origins" that makes that steaming pile canon.

Logan 5/10 - Been a fan of the character since I read Wolverine #1 when I was a kid. Something was just off for me about the movie. Maybe it had something to do with Wolverine being feeble? Sort of like seeing your dad who was so strong and not was 80 years old and was pissing into a colostomy bag. An entire movie of a 12 year old girl grunting, groaning, and screaming.

In my opinion it didn't feel like a "Wolverine" movie to me and found it worse than Origins.

Miss Meadows (2014) on Netflix 7/10

A quirky little film that reminds me of Twin Peaks after a fashion
Driven for the most part by the performance of Katie Holmes

    A Bridge Too Far 10/10

I really don't need to describe this classic do I??

    Star Trek: Beyond (2016) 8/10

I'm actually ok with the latest incarnation of Star Trek and think the cast they put together for the crew is pretty good. The newest addition to the series took a lighter tone than Into Darkness had. There were a lot more little jokes and some not so subtle ones as well. It's to be expected since this installment was written in part by Simon Pegg.

I'd rather make a difference than a dollar.

Apparently I can't watch a movie with my wife without ruining it for her, so I'll post my wisdom on GOC.

I'm watching Star Trek Beyond on advice of FlyingHigh's review.

IMO the Star Trek franchise is regressing like a Harley-Davidson edition typewriter. They've gone from Twilight Zone submarine battles to Robinson Crusoe meets George Jetson. Special effects and inside jokes replacing moral allegory and conceptual philosophy. Politically correct, progressive appeasement inserted throughout.

No final word until I see the whole thing, but it won't be a good rating.

Final call, 2/10. Nothing original in any sense.

    Patriot's Day 8/10

Would have been a point lower except for this exchange between a Female BPD and FBI HRT that had me laughing:

BPD: "Who the F*ck are you?"

FBI: "Ma'am we with the FBI. You can go ahead and step down now, we got this."

    BPD: "FBI? Boston FBI?"

    FBI: "No Ma'am, Quantico."

BPD: "Well I'm from Framingham Massachusetts, and this is my spot and I ain't f*cking leaving!"

Second FBI: "Glad to have you with us ma'am!"

I watched Patriot's Day last night. 7/10 for me, the shootout and how they found them were interesting parts.
When J. K. Simmons showed up in the street and was the only one who tried flanking the brothers, made me happy.

    3 Days to Kill.

A better than usual Kevin Costner offering. A CIA assassin is forced into medical retirement because he is dying, but, is coerced back onto the job by the promise of a cure. Some gun play and darkly amusing advancement of the story line. Although, the repairing the relationship stuff with ex-wife and daughter started to drag and become a bit tedious as the movie went on (just under 2 hours long). 6.5/10
