Buddy here got a 5(?) year ban because he shot a guy in the leg because he broke into his house.
    He did have his pal.

Your buddy is in effect borrowing a firearm from you. That you would be providing with the knowledge he's under a prohibition. Most prohibitions don't allow borrowing either.
Anyway, a 10 year ban means he did something violent(may or may not have had firearms involved at all. Courts are handing out firearms bans for any kind of violent crime.) that was pretty serious.
You don't join a range. You join a club. And a person under a ban cannot rent firearms either.

    My point exactly.
So if he is not suppose to shoot, up to the range to stop him.
And if he is allowed, then don't need me.
If he has to ask, then the range must have already told him NO!

    Huh?

It's nobody's responsibility but his own.

Furthermore, just to make sure you understand the difference, a range is nothing but an approved location for shooting firearms. A club is an organization. Also, I believe that it's illegal to rent guns in Canada. Clubs work around it by renting out shooting bays and/or selling ammunition, and providing loaners. Don't quote me on the rental stuff though. It's third party info.

    Oh, and:

    Authorization to lend

33 Subject to section 34, a person may lend a firearm only if
    (a) the person
    (i) has reasonable grounds to believe that the borrower
holds a licence authorizing the borrower to
possess that kind of firearm, and
(ii) in the case of a prohibited firearm or a restricted
firearm, lends the registration certificate for it to
    the borrower; or
    (b) the borrower uses the firearm under the direct and
immediate supervision of the person in the same manner
in which the person may lawfully use it.

^^ There's this, but the man was up on charges of some sort 99/100 chance he had a lawyer....tell him to ask said lawyer. That's probably the easiest and quickest access to a guy who knows.

its easy for cops to track your cell phone or put a gps on your car. They then pay a drugged out informant that knows the person with the firearms ban, maybe takes a picture, posts it on facebook and they get another snitch to make a public safety concern , Then there is the Anonymous phone call, or crime stoppers tips lol My lawyer gets the iformant and has a hair sample check done for drugs and medical records regarding mental health or any prescriptions that have side effects for vision imparement, low sugar ........ lol 2 can pllay that game. Then when nothing sticks, its defamation lawsuit time, illegal search an seizure. However sometimes you get these hardcore guys who think they run the city, those guys are best delt with a recording device in your pocket livestreamed to cloud or facebook. And all this trouble to show off your guns hahahahahhahahaa maybe get a gopro and a youtube account
    poop!
