    Thought on Browning Ammo

So on my gun run trip. I noticed that now Browning has their own ammo line. Who actually makes it?

Kinda worries me that a company that not know for making ammo, suddenly comes out with a brand of ammo.

I thought about trying out a box of their 22 but figured NAH. Might be crap like most of their fad products.

Browning, Winchester, Snap On, and you name it, have been selling out their name for years. You should probably assume that its just rebranded white box grade stuff and go with that. I wouldnt pay any more for Browning branded ammo than I would bottom of the barrel Winchester stuff no matter how flashy the box is or what the marketing department says.

It'a also very dirty stuff. Got a box to try in my S&W 22 Victory. Two hundred rounds and it looked like I had dropped it into a coal mine.

I will blow the rest off in my Henry lever action. At least the dirt stays in the barrel.

Guess their gun sales are going down hill. Because I see more outdoor stuff, stuffing stocking, and small items. Than anything gun related.

I picked up a box of the Browning 22 ammo at Cab. because they were on sale at what I thought was a good price.
I ran the ammo through my S&L M70 target rifle and through one of my custom target rifles. Well , those rifles that normally shoot under .5 at 50 yards opened up to a couple of inches. I am not impressed!
Shame on you Browning for putting your name on such garbage.

Browning has had an ammo line for eons. Nothing new about it.
"...at Cab..." Cabela's is very decidedly limited in selection. And some odd bullet weights. There is a rebate available though. "From August 01, 2017 until December 31, 2017 get 25% off per box up to $50."
"...the Browning 22 ammo..." Hunting ammo.

Well this is the first time Ive seen it. Sorry we don't have big box stores and many gun stores.

I got a CT 10mins away, next gun shop 35mins away, than its hour and half into the city. Haven't seen it in Halifax.
