Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty — and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies. - H.L. Mencken

I thought I should line a few up for a picture.
    Starting from the left
    Swedish Mauser from 1899
    Spanish Mauser from 1909
New England Westinghouse mosin from 1915 that someone took some artistic liberties with (has Finnish markings on it too. That gun has been around)
    Regular mosin from '39
    Hacked up Ross
Jungle Carbine (which I just got)
Why does the rest of the country get first dibbs on half my income?

October 1918 Eddystone M1917 (barrel is marked 10-18). Metal is blued no parkerization, wood is in phenomenal shape. Bore is crisp and shiny. I have no idea if this was a rebuild or desporterized or just a nice shape unissued rifle that never made it to France? All parts have E marking so if's a desporterized, someone when through a lot of trouble to rebuild with 100% Eddystone parts! =) Any comments or theories welcome! She's a magnificent shooter too =) Bayonet is made by Remington. Sling is marked "Hoyt 1918 JJM"
