Something to kick start the Victoria Day long weekend, even though it isn't the 24th yet but oh well.

I shot a 1910 ross and still have everything minus my marbles if you find them please do not return to owner

Marlin Safety 1894 25-20 Take Down

This is my new to me Marlin Safety 1894 25-20 Take Down made in 1900.

Rifle surrounded by all the stuff I got with it .

Rifle is not Safe Queen but is in 'good' hunting condition, barrel is nice and bright, bore has no pits visible to the eye. Loads, cycles and fires just fine . Going to pull & reload all the hand loads ~200 and save the ~110 original factory loads. Recipe notes on the reloads (from 2008 & 2010) say "1st load" in new brass . Have an old unopened box of Dominion CIL 86 grain bullets + another open box with about 15 in it , 2 boxes of Midway bullets ~150 bullets, that would be hard to import now a days. A set of Lee Dies c/w Factory Crimp and an old Lyman hand loader(not in pic). Dominion CIL , and Western X are names I have not seen in a long time. A bonus for me the 2017 & 2018 Hodgdon Annuals both list current reload info for this old girl . Now to find & stock pile more bullets safe to use in a tube magazine .
