Swiss Arms CQB. US Optics and Mount a little high for this platform. Will change to an Aimpoint T1 in the future. But the setup never let me down.

I actually took her out and did some 500m (550 yard) shooting of Friday. I have some video to post, which I'll do when the good parts are edited together.

The BT rails does a lot to give it looks and to hang stuff on a gun that is already heavy. Honestly, one can do without the BT hand guards. The Classic Green was already reconfigured in a "lighter" version. Will post a picture when I get the chance.

Ar180,

Yes, that is a lighter set up. Very nice!

Thanks for posting.

This is when I first got mine back a few yrs ago ... it was that ugly smurf blue crapola paint work ... I stole it from a friend for $1250. :D

This is her after I sent to Barret at Armacoat Inc in Alberta for a nice OD green paintjob. I have since replaced the scope with a leupold 1x4 MRT Mark 4.

A friend has one, excellent rifle. My only complaint is weight, I especially liked the sights.

My only complaint is weight

I hear this from some people, but I have no idea why people find this a "Heavy" rifle. Compared to an actual military rifle such as a C7/M16 , I think it is only about a quarter pound difference in reality. When I pick up my C7 and then the Sig, I canít notice any difference personally.

Just my 2 cents :)

Might be the same folk who say the m14 is too heavy for hunting.

Here's a buddies I just installed a DDLES adapter on. With the flat top rail and added hight of the adapter, the ACOG fits perfectly! Sorry for the iPhone pic.

My Green. It's wearing a Nightforce NXS 1-4x24 scope and a Surefire M720 Raid light.

The magazine in the rifle is NOT loaded.

Here's a shot of a flat top carbine with a custom 18.5" Krieger barrel and converted to non-restricted. As fas as I know there are only two converted carbines in the country. This was a personal project with Herron Arms. Note the integral blackout style flash hider. As well, the barrel was put through a nitride process (think Glock slide) which provides a bomb proof finish and extends barrel life.

I'm strongly considering converting a flat top rifle to a non-res carbine. I know it would be big bucks but I think it would be kick ass. I just need one of the new Swiss Arms AR style lowers.

Damn is that ever a sexy rifle. :D

Now I just need to have one made for myself, lol.

Actually, I'd love to be able to do some accuracy comparison tests between this and a standard classic green.

Thanks. Sadly as it seems with all of my guns, I do not own this one any more. When I did, it shot extremely well, on account of the custom Krieger barrel. Before going in for the nitride, the rifle was assembled and the barrel properly broken in, that way it would be as accurate as it ever would when the process was complete.

Frankenthread Bump!

Been meaning to ask what height of rings you're using to clear the rear diopter sight?

Also why hasn't this fine thread been stickied??

Now this is intriguing, out of curiousity would the length of the new 18.5" barrel interefer with mounting a bayonet? I'm aware that you don't have it just wondering if your tried to fit one on or would have a good guess.

Think I just watched the new owner sell this one on the EE, I'll get it when it comes up next time :D.
