This one. I'm hoping that the order will go through from Opticsplanet.com. I've ordered scopes from them in the past - sometimes they ship, sometimes not. It depends on the scope company and whether or not they have an export permit I think. At any rate, the order went through to the end. Usually, when you get to the part where they ask for your address, a notice appears saying they cannot ship. That didn't happen, and I got a confirmation email. Now, it's a matter of waiting a few days to see if it actually does get put in the mail.

This scope gets good reviews and can handle the recoil of a 444. What I like is that it is lightweight 8.5 oz, and only 9 inches long. It is $160 versus $280 for a Leupold.

That looks like the perfect scope for a 444.
What kind of eye relief does it have?
With your light H&R, it might jump back a tad ;D
I have on old steel Weaver 4x on mine, but it is a bit big and clunky on a lever gun.
I find the 4x a bit much in the bush too.

I'm thinking it should be fine. It has 4 inches of eye relief. I don't really want to load it to the max. I have a bunch of 325 gr. FNGC bullets from R&R that I want to launch around 1600 to 1700 fps. I'm figuring about 20ft/lb of recoil, so the scope shouldn't bite me.

Interested to hear how she works.

Might be a good option for a new bush gun. ;)

Hopefully, it will ship. If it does not, I'll contact Epps or Arc-Inter for one.

It's official. I just got the cancellation email from Optics Planet. I'll have to make some inquiries or go with a Leupold 1-4x20mm.

Optics planet will not ship to canada at all. Order will go through but a cancellation email will deny ya. Doesnt matter what you order from them anymore

Actually, they were running a subsidiary operation on ebay that was selling to Canada. I have not checked to see if it is still in operation or not. I bought two scopes from them late last year. Someone at work did the same thing earlier this year - but one was canceled.

Could be but I know a few (10+) that have ordered plenty of different things and no joy

That means they stopped in 2013. Export permits are renewed annually. I have to assume that they didn't bother this year.

Google 4Scopes and see what they have on inventory.
They ship up here, or at least they did in 2013.

Did the scope ever arrive, steve?
