Ok, I had a T97 follow me home from the Red Deer shoot. I have a proper rail adapter on the way. Now my question......what is the best sight to put on this wee beastie? My primary use will be as a utility/plinker gun around my cabin. I like the factory irons, but want something a little better. Besides it will then look....Tacticooler! Ideas?

Cheers!

The irons are a good system and i really like handguard mounted red dots that co witnesses with them.

I mounted a carry handle scope, and it's ok - just awkward with the height.

I can't decide what I want with the T97 - a service rifle that could pass the old CF PWT1 or a fast shooting run and gun rig. I have both and I like both of them.

Thing about the see through carry handle is you need a compact scope, or you'll be smoking yourself in the forehead if you use irons.

Very nice Mr 47. My final solution........... Sparc, but the screw on 2X is a PITA. So, add the 3X flip in unit. Now I like it.

No offence, but That optic is as high as Snoop Dogg. I was joking about doing a Guy Fawkes 858 shoot, it looks like the only way you could even get any sort of a chin weld with that rig is with one of those masks on.

Well, Harbie. It actually fits me very well! When I bring it up to shoot, I naturally fall into the sight picture. Guess that's what they call "custom". Don't knock it if it works for me, otherwise that just makes you an "expert". Guess I'm just not built like the average Chinese Soldier. No offence taken, maybe someday we can have a little shoot off. The proof is in the grouping.

Cheers!

I'm just razzin' you dude.

Whatever works for you, works for you.

I had a similar rig. When I was lucky I could land 5 round, 1" groups at 50 yards with that rig, benched with a rest. I swapped it out for a SPARC on one, a TRS 25 on the other.

Here they are afterwards... I taped the iSnipe impacts with the old scope mount on that piece of tape, but took them off after I switched to red dots.

My imperial Storm trooper costume was similarly ghetto.

A little bit of winter shooting... The rear site clogged right up with snow
