What is the average yardage that you shoot medium to large game at in BC? Just one more consideration for the round I end up choosing.

I'd say 100 yard average. Sometimes farther across cut blocks, sometimes closer in the bush.
But then, I don't hunt sheep in the mountains:).

Closest I ever shot a bear was 25 yards. Deer was 50 yards. Longest on both was around 350 yards.

Anything over 200 yards and you seriously want to be able to trust your rifle and your own shooting skills.

325 meters took a coyotes head right off. But big game animals usually between 50 to 200 meters for me.
All were done with a 308.

In bc my longest shot was a bull moose at 275 yds. My average was more around 100-150 yds.

Now that I am in the prairie country my longest is 540 yds, my average is about 300 and in 3 years my shortest is 240 yds. Next year I am going to moose mountain more so hopefully I don't have to shoot as far.

I don't paint myself as some "expert" tracker, but the furthest away I ever saw my target was about 200 yrds. Usually, it was much closer, 50 yds or less.

The furthest I have ever put a round down on a deer was about 200 meters. I find that most of my shots are within 50 meters, with my closest at 10 meters.

Depends if I am in a field or up a mountain..

Just over 100 yards.

BC has a lot of different terrain.

Most of my deer/moose have been taken at 100yds or less with a 308.

I mostly hunt in region 3 where there are a lot of HUGE cut blocks where they have been harvesting timber before it gets eaten by pine beetles, so there have been a couple of times in the past couple of years where, had I had a rifle and cartridge more suitable for a 400 yd shot, I would have been able to take animals that I did not feel comfortable trying for with the 308.
