Mine is probably The Hurt Locker. Realistic, good cinematography, not overly violent, good acting and storyline. What's yours?

HL is a good movie but there are a couple points that irk me. Like an EOD knowing how to snipe like he does. Granted he could know how to shoot before hand I guess. But the biggest is, no EOD is going to pull up on wires connected to bombs like he does to expose them. That would be risky and just plain dumb. :p

Saving Private Ryan or Blackhawk Down.

The Last Samurai was a surprised hit for me as well.

The way many of the scenes were filmed, I could taste / feel the dust in my throat, and felt as though I was 'there'.

Wasn't fond of the last one. Gory for the sake of being gory, with to weak of story to make up for it.

Like Tears of the Sun, Battle of Britain, Blackhawk Down, The Odd Angry Shot (Aussie Vietnam movie), Tora, Tora, Tora, Band of Brothers (yeah, not a movie), A Bridge Too Far. Hurt Locker was good however trust me, no one goes out, or went out, alone in Iraq or Afghanistan, surefire way to get killed
