Check these out.
Didn't look very promising heading out due to the new snow creating more slush(5 inches in 15 inches of snow). But it turned out pretty good reguardless. Lake trout feast awaits. A larger trout was trying to steel the lure out of the 34 inchers mouth. I'm going back to this no-name lake and fish the no-name bay again!!
34 inches at 13 lbs. The other weighed 11.5 lbs. One is going to feed 2 families tonight!!

Just making up for the 4 times being skunked lately.

Sweet! I've never been ice fishing but I bet it's extra rewarding with a nice sized catch like that!

Horsefly area huh? I hit McKinley, Keno and Tisdale a few years back. Some decent fishing, especially McKinley.

Going to Mckinley this week to try it out. Trying as many lakes as I can around this area.
Need to build a smokehouse soon.

Man that feed last night tasted good. Butter salt & pepper and I inhaled it. Out of that 4 lb slab there is enough left over for 1 sandwich. It will be a race to the fridge at lunch.

Still dealing with the 5 to 7 inches of water in the 16 inches of snow on top of the 10 to 16 inches of ice. Cold, wet feet fishing, isn't fun.
Fishing wearing snow shoes all day bites too. They start out lite and by the end of the day they weigh 15 lbs each.
Heading out again tomorrow. With gum boots on.

They taste to good to even freeze, let alone save!! I'll see if I can restrain myself from eating them all. Having a lot of fun trying the different lakes of the Cariboo.
I want to build a smoke house and give that a whirl. The last time I smoked some rainbow they didn't all make it to the house, from the smoke house.

Well I would expect nothing less then the tray to be lighter before you got to the house !!
