Capitalism vs Obama - Irs vs Tea Party

President Barack Obama is turning the United States into a "socialist nightmare" by doing "blithely whatever he thinks he can get away with," Sen. Rand Paul says.

"It's hard to imagine exactly what his goal is because when you talk to him one on one, he sounds reasonable and like he's not trying to transform America into some socialist nightmare," Paul, a Kentucky Republican, told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"However, when you look at his policies, one after another they are sort of transformative changing us from a country that has a marketplace and freedom of choice to a country that is stifled by coercion and mandates."
Paul said he is most disturbed by Obama's flaunting of the Constitution, particularly bending laws to fit his agenda without getting congressional approval, such as his tweaking of the Affordable Care Act.

"There doesn't seem to be any acknowledgement of restraint that the Constitution and the rule of law restrains him in any way," he said.

"Basically he pushes the limit to whatever he thinks he can get and won't be rebuked."

But that may change as the Supreme Court weighs Obama's unprecedented changes to the law, Paul says.

IRS vs Tea Party

When President Obama during a Super Bowl interview with Bill O'Reilly blamed Fox News for problems caused by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) scandal, he sent an unmistakable signal to his base and his media allies: I will shoot the messenger, and so should you.

It's like fighting a fire by turning off that annoying alarm.

That's what has been happening on matters great and small since Mr. Obama advised his followers in 2008, "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun."

Some of them, especially IRS officials who have the power to terrorize and silence people, have been taking it seriously for the past five years. Now that the cat is out of the bag about the IRS' political persecution of the Tea Party groups, Mr. Obama's allies are doing everything they can to quell the uproar.

On Feb. 6, two House Democrats asked for an investigation of Treasury Department Inspector General J. Russell George, whose report blew the whistle on the IRS targeting of Tea Party and other conservative groups.

That's right. Even after IRS official Lois Lerner admitted in congressional testimony that her agency targeted the groups and then took the Fifth Amendment to avoid self-incrimination, the Democrats' response was to attack the guy who helped bring the embarrassing information to light.

Vote Obama for Hope and Change. Can he get in for a third term to fix all those terrible Republican mistakes? Maybe just bend the rules a tiny bit just this once?

Using the IRS as a political tool is wild. If "trust" in that institution is trashed, how do they expect to run the country?

Well obama is done in 2016. What will be interesting is who are the republicans going to run against hillary, and what will SHE do if she gets in? (Besides make darn sure her interns wash their sweaters afterwards.)
