I can remember on one of my first trips to CSC peering at an Atlas bipod behind the glass and getting a hefty dose of sticker shock.

I'd never realized that bipods could go that high!

That was years ago, and since then I've used Harris almost exclusively, while still drooling over Atlas whenever I see them in photos.

After watching several guys at the MGM Ironman take their .223 rifles out to 400 yards for competition I started looking more seriously again. I found a used one at a decent price ($50 less than retail) and figured why not! Plus now that I've got a decent vertical rail on my Tavor . . .

While I'm waiting for mine to arrive: who's got them, and do you think they were money well spent?

Hell yes!
I luv my ATLAS bipod so much that I even put one on my mossin nagant.
LoL!!!
Costs more than the dam rifle itself.

I tried an atlas on my cheytac but it just wasn't as solid as I wanted , so went with the LRA f class bipod and find it a lot more solid !

Also tempting. If I get tired of shooting rested from nice guns, its nice to know I can squeeze the last bit of that 4 MOA accuracy out of my mosin ;)

See I haven't looked at LRA. I have previously owned a versapod that I found a little too loose for my liking, and seriously considered buying the Vltor side mounting monstrosity.

I have only used the Harris types, I have fiddled with other models, but not enough to base an opinion with.

Okay I'm pretty happy with this thing. Sucks the snow is thick today!

Have one, originally bought for my AR. Does a fantastic job on this platform.
Got the one with the throw lever, I stick it on a bunch of guns. I positively love it, it is a nicely crafted piece of equipment.
Seems a tad too light and not wide enough for total comfort on my MRAD.

Nothing but good comments from me on the Atlas.

You can also get the clawed feet too for more grip on softer terrain.

I have a couple Atlas Bipods. They're the best bipod I've used because they have some flex to them. I find that they load much better than the Harris style and because of that, they seem to "hop" less when resting on hard surfaces and make it easier to get back on target for faster follow-up shots.
