Trying to get my girlfriend into hunting and I think gophers would be a good place to start. Just wondering if anyone has/ knows someone with a gopher problem. Would be willing to travel from Edmonton to strathmore - sundre to Hanna for a good place, We will only be shooting .22s any tips would be great!

Tried Kijiji at all? Might be a good place to advertise some gopher removal assistance.

Wow, sorry, really surprised you can't find a place to shoot gophers! Mind you when I was a kid in grade 9 my buddy and I would take our 22's to school, lock them up in our locker and at lunch hop on our bikes and shoot gophers while eating our lunch. It was only a 10 minute ride to some farmers field, sit on one side of a hill and shoot the gophers on the other side. There used to hundreds of them! I am talking about Calgary in the early 1960's. Simons Valley. Way out of city limits (then). I really feel sorry that the younger generations can't enjoy the same freedoms I had as a kid. The world has gotten smaller and I don't like it as much as I used to. Haven't been back to Calgary for many moons now. Last time I was there I said not again.
