This was tonight's supper. I took pictures, cooking in the late afternoon sun :D

The Chops:

4 chops (trimmed and deboned)
1/2 bag of smashed crackers - you'll notice I use a LOT of crackers in my recipes. They tend to get stale in our wet climate but I love crackers with soup.
salt and pepper
mustard powder
parsley

2 eggs

ingredients:

take the chops, roll in egg. roll in dry stuff. dip in egg again, roll in dry stuff. literally repeat until a) you run out of dry stuff or...b) you run out of dry stuff. put on pan. bake 400F until it smells done and isn't raw. (30 mins? don't quote me. i don't look at the time, speed limits or measurements)

looks something like this, raw:

The Apple Sauce (the kids love it, so why the heck not)

2 apples
little bit of water
little bit of sugar

ingredients:
http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/s720x720/555396_10150944150535609_597120608_12390033_195736 2044_n.jpg

peel, core and dice up the apples. throw in a pot. put a little water on top so that the apples have some water on them. boil until apples are soft.

throw in blender. blend the crap out of them. taste it. add sugar to your taste. sweet apples = no sugar.

this is blender #8. hopefully this one lasts through the beating i put it through.

FYI, I just picked up a Ninja Pro blender from CT a little while back and am really happy with it.

Cost $80 though, but strong enough for anything you throw at it.

thanks for the lead. i've gone through the heavier duty end of the product line of oster and kitchen aid - needed another blender for monday so i got this one. i'll give it a month.

considering getting an industrial one but they're a zillion dollars. :( :(

People that don't like asparagus typically don't know how to cook asparagus.... if not cooked properly it's a train wreck... if done right it's a real treat....

Nice chops Candy.... I cook with crackers often also... for healthy fish and pork recipes.... corn flakes and bread crumbs also....

As for blenders.... I don't use often... but kijiji is your friend for industrial strength appliances....
