I haven't owned or even looked through the Lucid.

I previously owned a Strikefire, and liked it. I own a Vortex SPARC now and like it NOT as well. Should have kept the Strikefire.

People have has issues with both generations of Strikefires, but much moreso the first gen that had both red and greed dots. I had no probs with my first gen, and would buy a 2nd gen if I needed such a thing.

I know Vortex stands behind their products and most of the time more so than anyone else. For what it's worth I only run Vortex now on everything, I take comfort in their warranty and the overall quality for price is tops.
