It was a good morning. Drilled hole, lure hit bottom. Cleaned some slush out of my hole. Lifted it up thinking it was stuck on bottom. Nope this was attached. 13.4 lbs 33.5 inches long. LIG

Looks good Mr H. I'm sure you're packing on the weight like a grizzly going into hibernation eating all that fish!

Well done ! It's always nice when you can practically bonk them on the head with the lure. LOL.

Cooking by my hands is very simple. Canola oil, salt, pepper and garlic. Potatoes wrapped and cooked on the wood stove top. Fresh lake trout is the 2nd best fish to eat. If there is surplus I will try and can some too. I have to buy a small fish smoking devise. Lake trout is oily enough to be great smoked. Thankfully it is supper soon. Stomach growl. lig
Fish sandwiches yesterday " Canned rainbow". Running out of jars.

Another beaut!

Ok. That's it. I'm using shrimp for bait. This is cooked shrimp you're using? You should see the small little buggers I get with fresh worms...nothing like what you're hauling in.

Though I admit I like worm hunting on rainy evenings with a flashlight. I also will admit to enjoying fishing because I drink coolers and read crappy books outside :D I'm "fishing" :D

Sorry no shrimp were hurt in the catching of these fish...
Len Thompson 6 inch long classic or a 5 of diamonds. go ogle it. 6 inch minimum.
Williams Whitefish Fishing Lure 1 1/2 oz version. No paint left on this one, so I pasted a glow finish on it and it hasn't caught a fish since.
3 to 4 foot long ice fishing rod med to stiff rod. My go to real is a Mitchell 301(I buy everyone I see at yard sales), yes as old as me. Big fish days my real is a pen 309 level wind. LIG
