Got this rifle in 358Win finished last year. Bevan King did the fine work on the 22" bbl and another friend did the action work and bedding the McMillan. Weighs 7lbs 4oz as shown with FXII 4x. I recently sold my 375CT so this rifle will nicely fill the the med bore gap in my safe. :)

Has shot very nice groups with 200 and 250 gr Hornadys. Still need to do some work on 250gr Speers and some 200gr TTSXs I have on the heap. Very flexible chambering for this part of the world for both deer and moose.

I sure am starting to like .35's.... Whelen hand loading should commence any time now, what Hornady projectiles are you throwing? All I could see around here were the Leverevolutions, wound up picking up 250gr Speer Hotcores to start with.

The 250gr Speer HC is a great 35cal bullet.

I've had an itch for a medium bore for a while now.
338 Fed, 35 Whelen, maybe even a 35 Remington.
You guys really aren't helping...

Beautiful rifle, SuperCub

I regret not buying the last 336 Marlin I saw in 35 Remmy....

I like the action work! Did this start life as a Ti action?

When I build my 35 cal, it's going to be in 358 Norma.

I think you made a good call leaving a marlin where it was. LOL

It only got ditched because I saw some rather obvious sign of it being a Remlin. The checkering was double stamped on the pistol grip, forend had a huge gap on one side and was in contact with the barrel on the other. I didn't delve any further....still wish I owned one, just not that particular one ;). I wouldn't hesitate to buy a current production now, provided I had a chance to look it over. They've cleaned up their act a fair bit. Haven't stumbled over a .35 lately, or had the cash in hand.....

I don't think they've produced anything other than 30-30s and 45-70s since the meltdown.
Hopefully, now that the newbies have learned how to build guns, they'll expand their horizons.
I'm still lusting after a 338 Marlin Express in the worst way...http://www.weknowparenting.com/forums/images/smilies/sigh.gif

My buddy had a 358 in a lever - loved it. I called it his 'marble thrower' :) But you could definitely eat to the hole and it sure put deer down.
