Two months ago, I posted a video of a proof-of-concept build, on another firearms forum. This is what existed at that time.

This is a clean build I finished last week.

And finally, here is how the rifle field-strips

Let me know what you think!

Will this be an upgrade kit then? Aside from the stock, are there any permanent modifications to be done?

Cool, other than the live rounds being flung all over the place.

The trigger group must be permanently modified with this system. It is not a kit, it constitutes an overhaul of an individual rifle.

Good eye, but all the rounds I use in my shop are deactivated.

^^^ agreed.
This is interesting.

I like the AK mags mod and ambi release/catch.
not fond of tapco stocks though.

a competitive decision making choice in this and T&T arms wartak skar.

do you have the capacity to convert by the crate(s)?
do these have to utilize the tapco stock?

I'm really liking that trigger group and mag catch mod.

Nice work, dude. It looks a little rough in the video where the rifle is painted tan, but in the other video of the breakdown it looks much better.

Not fond of Tapco stocks? The system works just as well applied to a hardwood stock

At this point a crate would take me months and I'd be divorced by the end of it! But I can't say the prospect isn't exciting.

I hope these pictures show the safety well enough for your satisfaction. The safety is off here. It is a lever that blocks the trigger, and most of the trigger guard opening, when it's on.

Hi, I'm just playing catch-up on this thread. Having just purchased my first SKS (yeah, I know...where the hell ya been!) Im looking to upgrade it to a more modern tactical look. I'm leaning towards the Archangel stock but I like your idea of the ambidextrous aspects you have done with the trigger and mag release...also moving the pistol grip makes total sense to me. Do you have the mod available for sale? Great idea and with the Tapco stock sometimes on sale for $70 USD at the 'merica Walmart would be fun to toy around with it. Cheers!

To me, a long mag that can't be used just gets in the way. Not as handy as the original.

Each to his own and a good job though!
