Stupid question...

Has this new-production rimfire rifle, the GSG StG-44, ever been classified by the RCMP?

Wait until the Blaze issue is sorted out then get the Aztechs to import one

Not on blueline's site so likely not classed yet(or prohib).
Might be one of the ones they've been waiting on for years to be classed.

"There is no better words to hear in this sport than a new FRT approval... except maybe to learn quickly afterward that you have the new gun arriving in 2-3 weeks already! We are happy to announce that Wanstalls will also be getting limited quantities of the GSG Schmeisser Sturmgewehr-44 (StG-44) in .22LR after its long, long trip through the RCMP approvals process. These lovely guns are solid metal copies of the Stg-44, retaining as much of the classic rifle's features as faithfully as possible within the bounds of law. In fact, this rimfire clone still weighs over 9.5lbs! It truly is a lovely complement to the WWII collection in Canada."

In the world of military small arms, many would argue that the most significant one in the last century is the Sturmgewehr.

I got my stg-44 .22LR today and it works good but a ouple of times the last round out of the magazine would get put into the chamber and the rifle would not shoot it and leave a live round in there. So make sure you check before putting it down. Its a great looking rifle and nice and heavy, The magazine is a little stiff I should oil he spring or something. I was using cheap Walmart 36 grain Winchester. I think a guy needs to make sure he loads the rounds in correctly I found that the rounds are pointing up to much and sometimes don't go into the chamber properly.

I still like the rifle its lots of fun but the ruger .22LR seems to run better. The stg-44 has lots of room where it feeds to get stuck or out of alignment.
