The woman I took out fishing had the very first bite of the day and the fish was three times the size of these two. Her line snapped just as she got it to the canoe. Sadly she never had another bite for the rest of the day even after I gave her the hook I was using.

Yep, them'd be fish :) Nice!! Well - at least she got to play one even if it got away. But, that's why they call it 'fishing' and not 'shopping'.

So I took my father to the same lake very early this morning since he had never been there! He hasn't bee on a real fishing trip in a couple years and figured this would be perfect!

Just a little duck that was hanging around us:

My canoe:

Now we brought 8 fishing into the boat within two hours of fishing. That is not counting the couple fish lost and all the strikes without hooks being set. We kept 4 of them. Here is my dad with two of the nicest of his four fish:

He had a fun time and the fish REALLY fought well! By 10:30am we were ready to call it a day. We had our personally set limit and had so much fun we didn't need to stay the full day.

And finally a picture of a deer that was standing there 10 feet from us as we were loading the canoe up:

thanks but I have 20 lakes out here I haven't tried yet!! 90% of my fishing is on hard water. Within sledding distance from the lake I live on.
Nice fish by the way.
