A friend gave me this souvenir from his army days years ago. I took it thinking it would be a nice addition to my kit, but then I started wondering if it would even still be good. There doesn't appear to be any expiry date on it but it is dated October 1977. It's a nice package with no visible wear, fraying, or tears. The package appears to be a canvass with a plastic lining to keep it waterproof.
Any knowledgeable folks out there know if this has an indefinite shelf life or is this just junk now?

I wouldn't trust any consumable product that old. Glue probably dried on the bandaids, cloth for slings could be rotted away, alcohol wipes/bottle long since evaporated. Awsome collectable though!

While there are newer products out there that can do a better job, having played with enough of those old elephant turds, I'll vouch for em. It's still good. If the package feels like it's still air tight, then I wouldn't worry - and from those pics, it looks like it's in good shape.
