A few years ago had seen an article in a magazine call Machinist workshop that peaked my interest, "Building a rifle rest" by J Randolph Bulgin. To make a long story short between school, work and the girlfriend it was slow going. I recently had some free time and its coming along nicely but still have a lot of work to do. I know that this not a new design or anything special, it was just meant a fun project. let me know what you think.

Yup, I'd have a hard time figuring out where the on switch is at with one of them machines ...

I love that magazine, lots of info some good some bad. As for the cost so far, maybe $35 bucks? I found most of the material in the scrap bins at school and at work.
