Well I decided to change up my optics on two of my rifles. I like my CompM4 so much that I decided to give a T1 Micro a shot. So the test pilot rifle is going to be a Noveske light carbine, 14.5" barrel, 5.56 gun. I'm going to ditch the Viper PST 1-4 that currently resides on the Noveske and put that on my 45-70 Lever. I'm looking forward to giving this sight a whirl, this will be my first Mirco sight and I will be testing it out tomorrow.

I'll be mounting the T1 on an ADM quick detach mount. This one piece mount is at Socom height which co-witnesses the back-up sights in the lower 1/3 of the window.

Stay tuned for a range report and review of both the mount and sight...

So it was a great range day, but in my infinite wisdom I forgot my camera so no range pictures...

But, the sight did perform well and I'm a believer. The T1 is extremely lightweight and is night and day compared to the 1-4 PST. It is much easier to acquire the target and my field of view has increased 10 fold. This is one tough sight and looks to be extremely well built.

The ADM mount, this unit is as expected, tough, solid and finished beautifully. The mount locks with a positive click and holds zero dead on. I find ADM mounts to have one of the best locking mechanisms in the industry and overall they're one of the best mount manufacturers out there IMO. These units are priced right too at only $92 bucks.

It's amazing how an optic can change the way a gun performs and feels, the gun seems much faster to run and with the weight savings it's transformed this carbine into a completely different rifle.

I'm a believer, Aimpoint all the way!

I like the micro series so much that I even put one on my 10/22, hard not to like a sight so compact with such an outstanding battery life.

I was thinking about getting a D&D fixed mount for mine or a LaRue but why did you guy's choose the ADM and that Matech 1's?

Slick looking rifle 50. Of course the background on the pictures of the aimpoints isn't bad either ;)

I run ADM mounts because they're priced right, the anno and machining is superb and their locking mechanism is solid. I'm a big fan of ADM.

I got the Matech mount almost thrown in with the Aimpoint when I bought it, which is what I was really after.
Decided to give it a try, and it has worked fine out to 280 yds so far.
Holding zero and lines up with my back up sights as well. I don't know if I'd cough up the coin for a brand new Matech mount, but since I have it, I do like it.
I wonder why more people arent using them.

I love how the Micro looks great on nearly every firearm that it's mounted on. Once I get into the fun guns like that I'll have to save up for one.

I've been looking for a good 1/3 co-witness for my Micro H1. Did you pick up your ADM in Canada? If so, whereabouts did you get it?

My T-1 wiggled itself loose while firing this weekend. I'm not using a base, just the integrated mount. Any idea how tight that cross bolt should be torqued to?

The owners manual suggested the crossbolt bt tightened 1/4 - 1/2 turn past the point resistance is felt. Last week, after about 100 - 120 rounds of .223 the sight had become loose. I sent an e-mail to Aimpoint asking how tight to torque the crossbolt. The responce I recieved was "not more than 20 inch pounds".

To bring this thread back.

yeah I would say T-1 Aimpoints are the best but their are other options out there that I like as well. For example Hensoldt RSA-S Red Dot loos great too...
