Doesn't appear to be in Canada, it is new though. Might replace my savage in the future?

We can be X-Bolt brothers!

In reality, though, pretty much any rifle can be threaded for it.

Are you leaving Savage regardless? Their 10TR (Cantire in Ch'town has one in stock!) is threaded.

My son has one and loves it - thinking I might pick one up at some point myself.

We already are! I got an xbolt in 308 already and I like the rifle so I have to consider one for my coyote/range rifle as well.
Both the savage 25 and xbolt are three lug with the short bolt lift but the browning has a way better safety. Maybe a smoother action.
The browning magazine is also beefier and from what I can find holds 5rds instead of the 3-4 the savage can.
And the browning is a pound lighter.
The stock on the browning above doesn't do much for me.

The 10tr seems to be only .308? Need .223

I've got a CZ527 in 223 Varmint barrel with a lovely Zeiss on it that you're welcome to...

Not threaded though.
