So after throwing some chairs and smashing some windows and throwing some people out of them (not really just being dramatic) because the DDTC will not allow a simple thing like a trigger guard to be shipped out of the states,

I am looking for some help in finding someone that can make a custom trigger guard for my LMT. The standard trigger guard is too small for my gloves when required, and i wanted to have something more unique and better looking then the standard ones.

Anyone know anyone that can produce something like in the picture?

Brownells: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=42412/Product/AR-15-M16-AR-STYLE-308-WINTER-TRIGGERGUARD and my understanding is that they ship to Canada.

Not the same design that you want but it should be big enough for gloves: http://www.fabsports.ca/spikes-tactical-billet-trigger-guard-p-745.html?language=en

WOW! ???? I was under the impression that Brownells would ship almost anything to Canada. That really surprises me.....guess I'll have to back and edit my wish list.

Yep said something about the DDTC in the states doesn't allow export of this part.

It's OK, I wasn't able to buy a 10rd .22lr magazine for a 50yo stevens bolt action rimfire rifle because the company wasn't on the registered export list.

Not sure how restrictions on business like this is good for economic growth.

Checked with my buddy at a local machine shop, roughly going to cost 200 bucks for time and material (material is almost nothing) to get it done.
I think i'll just find something local lol

+1

Simple and easy.

And yes it might be blasphemous but you can also order one made for high end airsoft rifles. Most will fit perfectly. And they only cost $9 :p

Well I emailed the company directly about the trigger guard, seems they do ship to Canada via their international distributor, so I guess we will see what the distributor has to say about this.

If it were my gun, I'd take some time and build it out of fibreglass. Shouldn't run you more than $20 to get set up. I've made a few small parts like this over the years from fibreglass, and they turn out pretty good.

Another alternative is to get a small length of bar stock, bend it in your vice, and then finish it up on the grinding wheel or with a couple files. Drill some holes and you are done!

its because the company ( company of producton) has not listed they're country of origine there for they will not allow it for international export , or the ddtc has it classified as a military part or accesiorie and there for it is a evil baby killer ,

Well again the Trigger guard is out that i want.
$25 dollars for the guard, then 40 for shipping!!!! on top of that they only use paypal or bank wire.
I will not use paypal due to being anti-gun, and they want another 25 bucks if i do bank wire.

So $100 dollar trigger guard yeah no....

Spike or Magpul it is lol

Phase 5 is not on ITAR's registered export list, thats why that trigger guard is a no go...

yeah it wouldn't be cheap to make 1 of them that's for sure. especially to get it finished nicely and anodized. not really my cup of tea i am interested in fabricating though. making custom ar parts might be a fun hobby doubt you could make a business of it in this marketplace. if you could get into forging the rough blanks and then just have to do some drilling and finishing on them maybe you could make a go at it.
