Some constructive criticism. Time to stop reading the Dirt McGirt letters. Gun owners are the last people who should be perpetuating stereo types. Don't get me wrong, Dirty can be funny. But I'm sure a white guy pretending to be a black "gansta", read out loud by another white guy is potentially off-putting to some who may otherwise have wanted to join our community. It just isn't worth the few chuckles if it turns off even just one potential new gunnie.

I've met Dirt McGurt in person.

He is actually black. For real.

It doesn't matter. I'm with Doug, it comes off wrong and sounds dumb on the air.

However it may be meant with the best intentions of humour, the optics are bad and it would be nice if it stopped.

Disclaimer: this has nothing to do with being offensive; nothing offends me. This has to do with SFR being a good show, but this is bad content.

Like Petamocto said, doesn't really make a difference, it is an audio podcast after all. Comes across as it being okay to stereo type which goes against a battle we face as gun owners, as well as potentially alienating new shooters from other demographics.

Again he's black. Which makes the original point a non-issue.

How? Again he's black. Plus he's joking. Nobody takes the emails seriously. Anyone dumb enough to think Dirty is a real gangster should not own guns.

Not everything on the podcast will always be to your taste.

But you can all feel free to encourage the hosts to start censoring the show.

Freedom of speech = good only when you agree with the person speaking?

Sounds like the liberal philosophy there. Maybe you guys voted for Justin?

BTW when are you starting you gun rights organization?

I'd like to see some content from it so I can criticize it and tell you not to do it anymore.

Also - he is a legit PAL/RPAL holder and a very nice guy. He also has a good sense of humour. Unlike some people who need to be a little less serious. It's a fun podcast. That's all. It isn't journalism. It also shouldn't try to be. The second the show stops being funny it loses all credibility.

Something something you hurt my feelings and I'm sure you'd say that to my face.
