Eddie the Eagle – Pray to Allah or Die

“STOP! Don’t Touch. Run Away. Tell a Grown-up.”

The Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program is a gun accident prevention program developed by a task force made up of educators, school administrators, curriculum specialists, urban housing safety officials, clinical psychologists, law enforcement officials and National Rifle Association firearm safety experts. It began in 1988 with one mission: teach children four simple, easy to remember steps so they know what to do if they ever come across a gun. In 2015 the NRA introduced a fresh, new Eddie and added some friends—his Wing Team. Though Eddie has evolved, his mission has not. In the brand new video, Eddie and his friends remind children that if they see a gun, they need to Stop! Don’t touch. Run away. Tell a grown-up.

You talk about stranger danger, Internet safety, fire drills and more with children…so why not include gun safety? The program makes no value judgments about firearms, no firearms are ever used, and it covers an important topic that needs to be addressed with kids. Like swimming pools, electrical outlets and matchbooks, firearms are simply treated as a part of everyday life. With firearms found in about half of all American households, it’s a stance that makes sense.

German highway banner: “Your children will pray to Allah or die!”

Police in the besieged nation have been confronted with its worst period of violence and civil unrest since the days of Hitler’s Nazis as anger over Angela Merkel’s open door policy reaches boiling point.

The spectre of the 1930’s Third Reich brown shirts looms large as far right protestors are openly conducting running battles in the street targeting refugees – as well as journalists and politicians who support their cause – in brutal attacks.

Moderate politicians have been drowned out at rallies and one was even stabbed in the throat by a neo-Nazi madman, leading a top German magazine to declare: “The hate is back.”

Security sources in Germany, which has taken in more migrants and refugees than any other European country, say they have seen a sharp rise in violence linked to right-wing extremism in recent weeks.

Rona Ambrose

Why is Rona Ambrose “outraged” at medical marijuana ruling?

Outraged. Rona Ambrose is “outraged” at the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision in R. v. Smith, which finds that the Medical Marihuana Access Access Regulations (MMAR) that prohibit the consumption of medical marijuana in any form but dried marijuana to be unconstitutional. “Outraged” is Ambrose’s word, not mine. With this one word, Ambrose set Canadian media outlets twittering and it seems single handedly to have lost any credibility with rationally minded people in its war on drugs (if it ever had any).

For me, Ambrose’s words conjure up images of cartoonish villains when their evil plot has been foiled by those “durned kids again” or a quick-witted superhero. I can just picture her lying prostrated on the ground banging her arms and legs against the floor screaming or alternatively stomping her feet and pulling out her hair as she screams about the fact that Canadians may now be able to consume their medical marijuana in a healthier, more effective way than smoking it or vapourizing it.

My kids are not scared of guns.

They are scared of guns + loaded + readied + pointing at someone + pulling the trigger.

In fact, they are trained to say "Don't touch the trigger, point it in a safe direction, and make sure there are no bullets in it".

It's like them not being scared of cars, but they know that car + gas + engine started + aiming at people + accelerating is bad.

My kids are not scared of guns.

Mine are all RPAL holders and respect firearms. Just waiting to pass this on to the Grandkids, as my father did for me.

You're a generation ahead of me, good sir, seeing as my kids are 8 and 5.

Phase 2 after my RPAL is getting my wife to get hers. Technically my Rem 597, Walther PPQ, and Beretta CX4 are hers, but not literally.

Deep down, the best reason I want her to get her PAL is so she can buy me guns and ammo as gifts.
