While in the Fraser Valley for Christmas, despite a hectic schedule I managed to sneak in a few hours to chase the elusive steelhead on one of my old haunts. I didn't get a sniff, nor did I see or hear of any other fish caught this morning. That's steelhead fishing though, they're a fish of 10,000 casts.

While out there, the weather decided to remind me why when I tell people I'm going winter steelhead fishing they call me things like "crazy", "obsessed", "unstable", and other not so nice names. I prefer the term "addicted die hard".

So this was the first hour I was out, maybe 15 minutes after first light. Very nice, n'est pas?

And here was the remaining 3 hours or so:

I'm out for Xmas too. Near courtney. I bought a freshwater with a steal head conservation yesterday an am extremely excited to be going out tomorrow. We are heading out to a river near Cambell River.
Awesome!

Then why is everybody spelling it Cambell. Confusing the old people.

Because spelling is quickly becoming a lost art.

Meh. No one pronounces the 'P' anyways. Just like the second 'G' in Gaglardi.
