Hello everyone...
This is my first post on GOC under the new Riflechair forum.
A lot is happening right now - not all of it is good.
As you probably already know Facebook it terminating all buy / sell / trade groups on their site. They have also targeted certain firearm rights advocacy groups (like the NFA who were dissolved yesterday).

I have begun the process of moving my group from FACEBOOK (https://www.facebook.com/sitchensis/) to MEWE (https://mewe.com/group/56b42394e4b0fc94ba8fa8b8)

I will eventually terminate the facebook group.
It is taking a little to get used to because it's just a little bit different.

In any case I won't give anti-gun Zuckerberg any more of my data (or that of my friends).

Feel free to join us on MEWE (https://mewe.com/join/riflechair) here...

Good move. I just signed up for MeWe recently. A friend sent an invite that I ignored (not another social network, groan). But then on Facebook the CCFR was telling people to go their and sign up as that is where they will be if Facebook shuts them down too.

For those who don't know, MeWe has a philosophy of user's privacy comes first. From their "privacy bill of rights":

You own your personal information and content. It is explicitly not ours.
You will never receive a targeted advertisement or 3rd party content based on what you do or say online. We think that's creepy.
You see every post in timeline order from your friends, family, and groups. We do not manipulate, filter, or change the order of your content or what you see.
Permissions and privacy are your rights. You control them.
You control who can access your content.
You control what, if anything, others can see in member searches.
We're a private network. That means we do not track or profile you.
Your privacy means we do not share your personal information with anyone.
Your "likes" and "loves" are for you and your friends. We do not monitor or mine your data.
Your face is your business. We do not use facial recognition technology.
You have the right to delete your account and take your content with you at any time.

Already on MEWE. It is different and will take a bit of time to find my way around there. A few Canadian firearms groups have moved there before FB shuts them down.
