I was a WSS south in Edmonton today. I was buying a couple of musket nipples and 1000x209 shotgun primers. The girl at the counter asked me if I had my PAL.

My response: "My PAL, no, it's not required. These are reloading components." She immediately dropped it and rang the purchase through.

Meh...whatever....I wonder who told her to ask for them....maybe just a little confusion...who knows. No big deal....I just like asserting what little freedom we still have when coming across someone who doesn't know the rules but should.

Sounds like she doesn't know the law so she just asks for PAL for anything gun related... lol

Pretty sure it's required in Ontario. :(

Better than some kid demanding to see your "FAC."

Not much, but a little bit.

the No Sale Sports in 'Toon required I fill out their info sheet when I bought powder...since I didn't have to show my PAL they didn't verify the info...waste of paper on their part cuzz I used bogus info... ;)

Cabela's asks you to fill out a little slip of paper when you buy powder. My "Eddie Van Halen" signature is getting pretty good. :)

I noticed that Stephen Harper bought powder shortly before I did.

Depending on what mood I'm in, I'll sometimes say "I don't have one as they don't exist".

And it's not just the young ones that do that, in fact, I've seen it much more in the "older" crowd.

Sure try to confuse a simple thing, don't they.I think you are right about the "Ask for the PAL part" for anything firearm.
