Well once again thousands of tuktu(caribou) are passing by my home town and crossing the Meladine River ... I'll wait for the first wave to pass like my elders have taught me and then go get some ... gotta buy a damn deep freezer though as mine crapped out this past spring. I'll post pics very soon. :D

6.5x284 since its the only hunting rifle I have but if I wanted to long range one I would use 338 lm

.257 Weatherby. Gotta love a fast, flat shooting bullet for this sort of thing.

I would prolly use 22-250,, 308,, 243 or even 7-08 ,, 260rem
might as well go for head shots no use spoiling meat...but thats just me

p.s. I'm going to take a ride on my new quad tonite and go take some pictures ... see how big this herd really is ... then decide on rifle calibre and go maybe tomorrow or the next day after the first wave walks by town ... :D

With the .50 BMG you could try to line up one of those 2 with 1 shot, kills. LOL

Make sure to record it! ;)

My .270 with 150gr bullets worked quite fine last year. I'd do it again! :D

Be classy and use a 303brit, the gentleman's cartridge.

my question is can you legally use a 22-250 for large game out there or is there no minimum caliber like here in quebec ?

Be classy and use a 303brit, the gentleman's cartridge.

Times two 303 all the way one of the best rounds around and a proud history of service it may be old fashioned in some people eyes but will keep you safe and the freezer full.

Those are great images man. How long do I have to live in a province to get residency and hunt there again?
