Obviously, I need more scope on there. :)

I won't be able to afford a new target rifle this year, so I'm using my Browning BAR (300 win mag) in Steve's poker rally. LOL. I might not have a heavy barrel rifle to use, but hot damn, we've got good glass. :)

Wow! That is one nice scope and rifle set up. You should be able to shoot the cow jumping over the moon with that;D.

Good eye ! I wanted to make sure the end of the sun shade didnt flop down and hit the barrel during the recoil wiggle phase. ;) lol

I actually took those ones off and put a medium set on after the pic was taken. I'll lap them in tonight.

I've got 38 moa on the reticle and 64 moa adjustment on the turret. I wanted to put a 40 moa rail on it too bud nobody made one for a BAR !!! I was very sad when I found out. ;) ROFL

Apparently the forcast for the poker rally is for brighter sunlight then there is on the surface of mercury......

Trust me it looks worse in person :-)

Hey....if you can see more than the pin point where your bullet is going to hit, you're just going to get distracted by something else in your field of view. :)

if you add 2 more sunshades it will look like an over under cannon/rifle combo...at that point optics don't matter at all... :)

Actually not a terrible idea given the shop that thing is sitting in.... One barrel for deer hunting, one for badger defence.....

THIS !!!! WE NEED THIS !!!! :)

Sorry to disappoint. Today's big project is mindlessly drilling hundreds of holes in a board so I can gather up and organise the 1000 (that probably wouldn't be an exaggeration) or so loose 1/4 inch screw driver bits I've accumulated over the years. I might fire up the router table just to make it look fancy enough to be worthy of a picture. What do you think......Walnut or gunstock stain ? I want something that you don't need a frigging pair of pliers to pull out the bits and that's big enough that I can easily pick out one bit with my fat mechanics fingers......ALL the bits you could ever want in one holder. I don't care if this thing is the size of a BBQ grill. I've had it with spending 20 minutes searching everytime I need a specific bit.

I'd abandon that idea for building a net flinger...put the bits in a big plastic peanut butter jar and dump them out when you need one. This ups the odds of finding the one you need...even if you don't remember having it to begin with :)

Does that BAR have the BOSS on it. That scope might not be long enough.

A BLR should rate a Leupold at the very least.

For my next trick, I'm going to drill and tap for a set of mounts on my kid's Daisy Red Rider. Anybody got a scope with a 60mm + objective they want to get rid of ? :D

I have a 50mm scope I was planning on putting on my Rascal but now I see I have to find one bigger or I will be under scoped.

Any truth to that idea that air gun recoil will destroy conventional optics?

Cheaper scopes, yes. I don't know anyone who's tried it with an expensive one.... From what I understand the action of the spring causes the air rifle to recoil in the opposite direction of a conventional rifle? Haven't tried it myself....

I have no idea to be honest. I put the Ruger scope on in....4x32 fixed power. That's what came with it in the box. I had the scope on a 22 for the longest time. This is the first time I've put it on. I can tell you this though. I've trashed 2 Tasco 6 to 24 power scopes on a Ruger 10/22. The damned lenses come loose inside, and turn in the tube. All you wind up with is an oval light in the hole.
