While the M59's are nice, I'd save the extra $300 and buy a case of ammo to go with my laminate Russian. LOL

Holy smokes! You could buy at least two russians for that price! Are the yugo's that much better?

If your a collector then the price is a maybe, as a general shooter No way!

Last sks I bought was for $100 locally, can't say 500 bucks is in the price range i would pay for one.

I have a nice yugo m59 I paid ~$300 for. It is nicely made, looks very good. Functions the same as my old chinese one.

They are rare but I wouldn't pay that much for any sks. I came close with my 1949 model but that was still just over $250

Already have a 59/66 ... Keeping an eye out for a 59 to go with her but at that price I'd rather go with one of the Nagant snipers that they brought in.

WOW!!!
I guess Frank needs to make his retirement fund since John left. Or that these are priced for there american buyer's.
I was waiting to get one of these rifle's but now I think I will just get another create and sks for $75 then.

American buyers pay for Yugos there for what we pay for norcs

So your theory is "get them while you can, before they go south and you get to fight over those which are here already" ?

Crud. I've been waiting for this, but that's a little much for an SKS...Waitaminute, I was on the e-mail list!...Oh, got it at 7:30 this morning. Hmph. All the mint Mausers are gone. Guess I'll second the crate and $75 SKS deal.

Thanks for the post, lone-wolf!

My theory would be these are here in small numbers cause they can charge more for a small batch here, then in the states.

I bought an M59/66. As an aspiring SKS collector, it's worth it to me. I hope that the M59's stick around for a while, if they're still for sale in a month or so I'll have the funds to pick one up as well. Like the old saying goes: "They're worth what a buyer's willing to pay."

I'm excited for mine to come!

I'd be happy with one that goes bang, don't need anything fancy :-P

I'd rather buy a couple Chinese SKS' for that price (or just one and a boat load of ammo).

Lame, I wanted one but not for that price. I thought some were supposed to have the grenade launcher? Maybe I am thinking of something else.

The grenade launcher is the thing at the end of the muzzle.

M59/66 has the gernade launcher, and they do have them in stock along with the plain jane m59s
