I finally got around to parkerizing my Wilson .308 match barrel. No longer in production, I picked it up for a decent price.http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q699/falover57/garand/hoard%20003_zpssqrnpglt.jpg (http://s1354.photobucket.com/user/falover57/media/garand/hoard%20003_zpssqrnpglt.jpg.html)

And now for the epic part! I have been cleaning these up and reparked them all over the last couple of weeks. Which one will be receiving the new barrel? Decisions, decisions!

14! I have a new 30.06 Criterion here and a '61 vintage VAR barrel that gauges great.

This might be a silly question, but why do you build so many garands?

I was only going to build one a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, it led to another and then built a few for other folks (they send me the parts,I do the rest). I would take a guess at 25 to date, 10 of which are mine. Garanditis has no known cure, interventions are of no help as the bug is quite contagious and as mentioned,

Bang,Bang,Bang,Bang,Bang,Bang,Bang,Bang,PING! is the hook!:D

p.s. it is an great rifle to work on and I would like to see every one of those Danish receivers brought back to life.
