Sell me on a wheel gun! I've been sitting on the fence about getting one ever since I got my RPAL over 3 years ago. I think there is just something so nostalgic about a classic revolver but I'm still not 100% convinced to buy one.

From what I've researched any one of the Rugers should fit the bill?

I love my Ruger Single Six, just plain good old timey single action fun.

But...You can't beat a S&W 617 10 shot, that capacity in a revolver is pure grin inducing pleasure.

A picture of my 4" 617.

Very nice, but a 4" barrel is a prohib in the red, white and north.

Tradex had some a while ago and of course they're all gone now.

Handled a coupled Rugers at P&D today, the Bearcat is definitely out the equation as the grip is too small for me.

You looking for single or double action? Single action can be had for a great price if you keep your eyes open. Last one I found was for $125 shipped, lots of fun and got a few people into pistols.

Are the taurus .22 revolvers any good? Only 9shot but cheaper than the S&W 617

So there is, thank you. Even found a couple Canadian dealers stocking them. May just have to save for a bit longer.

Good question, I'd be curious to know as well. I have heard their customer service/warranty is less than stellar.

I've owned 2 semi-autos and one revolver. I keep going back to the revolver. It doesn't jam, and you don't have to go chasing brass all over the range.....although that's not exactly a big deal with a 22LR.

find someone and shoot one. i love revolvers they are just great. blacksmithden hit all the practical points plus id say they seem more accurate or maybe thats just a personal thing.

After looking at and researching the 617 some more I'm definitely leaning in the DA direction. Add to that, I really like these grips for it.

S&W or Colt. . My favorites are S&W K-frames or Colt Diamondback or Official Police. . Early post-war model S&W are my favorites; they're smooth, tight and eject them dirty 22 spent cartridges with ease. . The newer ones are okay, just not as user friendly.

S&W early post-war K-22's, 1946, 1952, (one is a one liner large knob)

I got this off the E.E on CGN and really enjoy shooting it.
Its a little slow loading as the cylinder doesnt flip out to the side but I like it just the same
H&R model 650 convertible 22LR/22WMR it works as a single or double action .
