Hi guys I have just picked up a Instant pot DUO6. You can slow cook. Pleasure cook. Do rice in it. So far I have done a meat stew in it. The stew was awesome. Wondering if anyone else uses one. This thing also plugs into the wall, And can be programed for up to 24 hours.

We have a power pressure cooker, similar to yours. Since Christmas we have used it a fair bit, mostly for rice and slow cooker meals. I tried a frozen 4lb chicken using it as a pressure cooker. It wasn't the best chicken, but it was ready in 25minutes, just before the hungry crew rolled in.

It seems to be a pretty versatile tool.

I have been watching a few YouTube vids. I might try some of those recipe's. I like this one because it is stainless steel inside. No Teflon . I see London Drugs sells them. It took me three times on EBay. First guy was a scam. Second was from the USA. And they couldn't ship to Canada. Third was from Ontario. And all was good. Going to make a deer stew today. As soon as I get off of this graveyard shift.

I'd recommend the stainless one too. The Power Pressure Cooker teflon has started to peel off after less than 10 uses, and the company isn't being helpful with the problem, telling me I need to return it to the store it was purchased at. A 300mile round trip. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Wow that's not good. Teflon is another Monsanto thing. I tried to make deer stew in mine. I am doing something wrong with the timer. I set it for slow cook. And it sat for four hours. And then started cooking. I didn't want to eat at eight pm. So I started it pressure cook mode. Forty minutes later supper. I really like this one. I will get it figured out.

Did a quick test with some rice in the Fusion Life Brands Powerpressure cooker XL. The picture below is a small sample of the coating that sloughed off into the food. I've been in contact with the company, they are adamant that I need to drive 300miles round trip to return it to the retailer it was purchased at. They have a mail order division.

I like the concept but stay away from this company, they build crap and refuse to stand behind it.

Mom and my sister both have the Instapot’s they really like them.

I’ve replaced the pot in my power pressure cooker with an Instapot stainless pot, it works well in the power pressure cooker.

I still wouldn’t recommend the Power Pressure Cooker XL, buy an Instapot instead.

I was given an Instant pot and this thing is awesome. We use it for rice a lot, but have done many other things in it also.

Ca tire this morning was a gong show. About thirty people in line at 830am. And only two tellers on. I went home. Not worth the headache for a couple of boxes of screws.

And that my good man was why I went out last night and paid full price ($30 more) for the rec room tv. It was still a great price.....they werent sold out....the young lad and I were in and out in 10 minutes. My blood pressure and sanity are worth more than $30 off a tv with no guarantee of even getting one.

To think you could of saved the flyer and gone back today to ask for a price match and still get the same price!

So you guys sold me, I'm part of the club now. Wife and I got up Friday morning at a time that no human should be awake yet to go down to the Superstore. Already a lineup there lol. Anyway lucky for us we knew exactly where they were so we still managed to be first to the stack of pots, but they sure didn't last long, they were all gone when we passed that aisle again no more than 10 minutes later.

Just came across this today.

Limited number of Instant Pot pressure cookers recalled
The thermal probe in the base can conduct electricity throughout the cooker

https://www.consumeraffairs.com/recalls/instant-pot-pressure-cookers-recalled-072015.html

“Instant Pot” and “Smart” are printed on the front of the control panel. Serial numbers between 1410 and 1503 and manufacture dates between 12/1/2014 and 6/1/2015 are included in the recall. The serial numbers and dates are printed on a label on the bottom of the pressure cooker’s base.

So this is why my hair is curly . I will have to check the dates on mine. Good find. Not my model. Thank god.
