So i was at a gun Auction a while ago and i accidentally bought 700-800 rounds of 7.62x45 thinking it was sks ammo cause it was labelled wrong, im not looking to sell the ammo. i would be more interested in buying a gun chambered in this round, from the little bit of reading i did about this round i found out that it was made for a gun called the VZ52 so i was just wondering if anyone in Saskatchewan has one they were looking to sell or if anyone could point me in the right direction of finding a rifle in this cartridge? Thanks

P&S Militaria gets one in on occasion as well. They aren't terribly common in the 7.62x45 chambering, many were converted to 7.62x39 (Vz 52/57 I believe?) when the Soviets decided to standardize arms and ammunition across the Eastern Bloc.

They are definitely out there though, keep your eyes on the forum buy + sells and a few of the dealers stocking old military arms and you're sure to find one sooner or later.
I find Collectors Source a little pricey at times, though there's nothing wrong with their service. I'm not on the up and up with Vz 52 pricing though....

I have seen 52/57 rifles go between $600-$1000.

I paid $800 for mine a few years back.

there is one for sale on "the other gun forum" right now for $1000. I know I'll get roasted for even mentioning that site, but it is what it is.

Unlike them, we dont give a light fart in a windstorm if you mention it. Its repeat slaggin other forums that causes an issue.

We simply expect our members to act like adults here. If somewhere else has something someone is looking for, put it up.

You'll note however trying to type our name there results in infractions, or their editor blanking it out. We dont use an editor, and expect members to act appropriately is all.

I sold/traded mine a year and a half ago for about $450 worth of 50bmg ammo. The bore was pitted and the general condition was fair I'd say.

I had one of these handed down to me but the clip is welded in and a slight weld across the slide...i was told that they were restricted in Canada so they had to do this?? Is this true??

Not at all. People do weird things.
