Does anyone know where one can order Hard salami (similar to what they carry at the super market, that is sliced up for you)

I'm planning on a new meat slicer, for jerk, meat, cheese etc. Due to the fact the mark up at the super market is insane just for the ability to have it cut.

So where does one find this?

I have seen some DIY ways of making it and I might do that down the road, but any suggestions?

Real Canadian Wholesale if they have those in AB. I believe it's Superstore/Loblaw's owned but they cater to restaurants and catering outfits. The old man buys full salamis there and freezes them in sections about 6" long for future use.

Most places like superstore are the soft meats, and they don't last long out of the package.

I'm looking for a longer time for expiry based on how its been prepared.

Have a look at Costco. I saw some that looked awesome. It was really tempting but I told my wife if we buy it, we're gonna eat so better not, lol.

If I were to buy a whole salami instead of making it, I would find a Italian or European deli and talk to the manager about wholesale.

Yes, we have them here. I always found they were more expensive then the Super Store though. That being said, if they have what a guy wants, have at it.

Came in ready to start throwing infractions around, and here we're actually talking about salami.
Almost disappointed.

Illichmann's (http://illichmannscalgary.com/).

There's also Paolini's which is a favourite of mine for deli meat, though I'm not sure if their salami suits the OP's purposes (http://www.paolinis.ca/).
