Thanks for doing this Rod. I've watched the interview multiple times already at various other locations. This is a great way to engage our politicians.

Are you being sarcastic?

I didn't hear anything I'd call moronic

I believe I made the same mistake - Rod's tongue in cheek comment appears evident when you play both videos - he omitted the second one in error and he was referring to himself (IMHO) - unless I missed it all together. But it does underscore the importance of words and syntax. I thought/said the same thing when I quickly looked the first time without playing the lead video - one is CivilAdvantage, one is CCFR.
Cheers!

It's great that you did this for Bernier,
but it was a softball interview.

Months ago, the Conservatives voted for the Simplified Classification System as part of their platform.
The original post video comments about how there's lots of pages in the current system, and how the Simplified Classification System gets rid of that -- and it would.
Except, that Bernier modified, by adding the bolded part below, as part of his platform in conflict with the Conservative voted upon platform, the Simplified Classification System to maintain anything that the FRT or the Regulations currently says is prohibited. Presumably that maintains the word 'variant'. What's left is a confusing mess that takes more than a measuring tape to figure out.

I propose the following classifications:

Non-Restricted:

(a) a firearm that is not a prohibited or restricted firearm.

Prohibited:

(a) a fully-automatic firearm,

(b) a firearm that is adapted from a rifle or shotgun, whether by sawing, cutting or any other alteration, and that, as so adapted, is less than 660 mm in length.

(c) a firearm that is listed as prohibited prior to June 20, 2016.

Restricted:

(a) a firearm that is not a prohibited firearm,

(b) a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm,

(c) a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise.

This is in line with the Simplified Classification System, adopted by Conservative members at the Policy Convention in Vancouver last year.

CivilAdvantage was politely referring to himself as the moron, because CivilAdvantage created a thread about the interview, but didn't post the video with the interview in the original post.

Ahhhh I see. See I went to the second video to watch the full interview and noticed the moron comment so I couldn't understand what I missed so I watched the second video and it was positive too. Still didn't get it and figured it was a typo.

No, I'm the moron. I posted the wrong video. I was in a hurry.

I certainly wasn't calling Bernier a moron, be a weird way to pursue future conversations with him...

A great job as always Rod. Thanks very much for stepping up and doing this. :)
