Had it out last weekend, it was shooting 2.5'' at 100 yatds with AE fmj, with my 69gr and 75gr hand loads it was around 2'' or a bit better. I took it out to 250 yards, dialed the elevation up 2 clicks and shot a 7" group with the AE, and 5" with my 75gr loads, there was a bit more drop with the 75gr loads, the AE shot POA. I was shooting off my pack so I hope to do better with the bipod. Fun gun so far, gonna try some shooting at the 500 yard line and do some more load development.

Nice rifle! 5"@250 w/handloads is pretty cool! Heck, 7" with AE isn't to shabby either! Must..resist...858...modding...

Changed out the NEA stock adapter for the height adjustable Rauch unit, can am has them in stock, a much more comfortable cheek weld now. Gonna order a Kobra rds or other side mount rds for some versitality.

I want to pick up one of these rifles somewhere down the road and try the same thing with the railed top cover and an ACOG.

Have any of you done any load development with the .223 version of these rifles?

Nope to this date I have yet to visual state for a fact that I have seen a 223 858 shoot an inch or less at 100 meters. Closes I have seen was 62gr with varget powder hitting right around the 1.5 inch mark with all 5 shots. There always seems to be 1 flyer.

I am getting honest 1.5moa groups at 100 yards with my VZ. I found the nosler 69gr work the best. Currently working on a 52gr hpbt load. Then I have a bunch of Barnes tsx's to play with.
