So after long consideration GOC is going to explore the option to buy a limited amount of GOC Branded Clothing for Resale.

We are considering the possibility of the following:

T-Shirts,
Polos,
Hoodies,
and Hats.

We want to gauge the Member's thoughts on the subject, to see if there enough interest.

Also we want to know what you're willing to pay for branded options.

We do not have a design yet as everything costs money to design ;)

My theory is if you sell it cheap enough, lots of people will buy it, and wear it, and more people will see it, and more people will sign up.
I'm cheap, so I wouldn't pay much more for a goc hoodie than for a plain unbranded one.

Throw a simplified goc logo on the hat with no wording so people have to ask what it is.

For T-shirts, have them available in fat-tall-guy sizes.
So many places just don't have them available.
There are options for quality; if you get the cheapy lightweight shirts and can sell them for $12, and are upfront about them being the cheap lightweight ones, you'll sell a pile and people will be happy.
If you get the expensive, heavyweight T-shirts, you'll have to sell them for $30+, and you won't move nearly as many of them, however, guys will buy them and have them for years and be very happy with them.
Just make sure to get them in fat-tall-guy sizes.

And hats. They'll be popular.

I used to buy XL t-shirts from Marshalls and Winners. Some of them are too tight not because they're too small but because manufactures make em smaller to save money or the cheaper material shrinks faster.

Anyone remember Bloom County? Opus the Penguin and his tv infomercial shopping habit? That's me. I see an online 'deal' and my debit/credit card starts to smoke. As mentioned already, tall , chubby sizes are desired.

white(something besides black) tshirt, spare tire sized.

For hat style, one shot tactical's F'n Eh would do it

My vote would go to hoodies with zipper fronts vs pullovers.

I can see hats and t-shirts under $20
A descent bunny hug is gonna be more than 20 bone.
Black and white aren't colors, but camo and green are :)

I can see a design contest with swag as prizes being a good way to bypass the design fees.

Put a reticle in the GOC "O" and get printing. ;D

looking at the current logo, add the reticle, and in the big blank space after the C, write "the truth will set us free"

Like the reticle idea, not the 'the truth..." script.

Like black, grey or white tee, under $30, like black or grey zip hoodie under $50, all with single GOC logo.

Like accurate sizing.

Edit; colours.

I'd go for a hat, pullover hoodie, and t-shirt.

Black or dark grey for all. Russell Athletic makes excellent quality hoodies and t-shirts, but I dunno what they cost when it comes to something like this. Lots of sports teams and colleges use them.

Flex-fit for the hat. Small, simple GOC logo so people ask about it.

Size large for me.

Things that are no go for me:

- Camo anything. I don't like camo, I don't wear camo (even when hunting), I'm not redneck enough to pull it off. LOL.

- zip up hoodies. I prefer pullover and find zippers are just one more thing to fail.

- chintzy quality. I'll pay for the good stuff

- big flashy logos

Yea I have a hard time buying expensive clothes just because they have a brand name or a specific logo on em. But I'd love some GOC swag

And yes camo and green are colors.

Camo t-shirt, black zip-up hoodie, and a black flex fit hat would be great.

Hat for aroynd $20-30 depending on style, tshirt for $20ish, hoodies for $40ish? I'd be in for around that price, black, white, olive drab or camo for any of the above :)

Judging from a few of the replies a fitness/diet plan might be a hot seller. Maybe a vest with pockets for some lead bricks or lead boot insoles to sweat the oldies ( not that bucket assed me should be finger pointing mind you ).

Staples does some decent stuff at a fair price. I'd do the hat. Black or white with red lettering. Nothing overly fancy but kiss.

Why not use something like CafePress.com. You provide them with the logo(s) and you're done. They make the shirts, cups, mouse pads, whatever with the logo as the orders come in and ship it. Easier for you, no having to stock stuff or deal with shipping but you still get some money.

I'm down for shirts and a hat... Maybe a hoodie depending on the style. Black, grey, OD, FDE.

The CCFR shirts are a good quality at a decent price. I wonder who they used...

Hat....and at least another something... Final design will determine what I go with, but I'd probably enjoy a couple of t-shirts with the possibility of a hoodie or nicer shirt dependant on how they look. Tall sizes would be great....the family was complaining about me showing too much skin trying to rodeo the toddler at the fireworks show last night.... Love the Johnny Cash shirt, but even in a 2XL it leaves something to be desired in the length department.

What might be fun is iron on transfers/badges/pins. I prefer boonie hats and to have a quality metal hat pin would be thecatzazz.

Hat for sure.

Anything else really depends on the design. My own preference is towards smaller logos on the front, with larger on back. Something about a logo stretched out across my big belly isn't appealing.

Biggest issue is finding the following

1. reasonable prices
2. finding a site we don't have to buy stock and can be drop shipped
3. finding time to be able to find 1 and 2.

I'm hoping in the summer I can find some time to follow up on this
