Put up a new chimney. Made the cap myself. Wasn't going to pay $175. Cost me $18 to make.

The truck tarp for the roof is five years old and isn't leaking. When it does. Then an insulated on will replace it.

I made it out of pallet boards. Ply wood from the inside of semi trailers. At the most it cost around $400. The honey bear fisher stove was a freebe.

Power for the cabin. Two 40 watt solar panels. 1, 12V , battery. 1 , 400 watt power inverter. I have a 750 watt, and a 3000 watt inverter. If I was going use a microwave. Want to put a water generator in the creek. Light is a LED 40 watt. It uses 7.5 watts. I hunt Blacktails in November, for a week. Never had any problems with power. no listen to the stereo lots. I always leave a 30 watt inverter there. It will only run the light. Door is always unlocked. Mice populations are controlled by a five gallon pail with water and a roller on top ,with peanut butter. Most I have caught in one week were eight. Mouse traps do not work.

Why is everyone on GOC better looking than I assume them to be?

Why? Did you think I looked like Shrek. My god man. You better not be looking for a date. Sounds like you are looking for a handsome hunting partner. LOL

It doesn't matter what we look like. As long as we all get along. When I used to drink. People told me I looked and was an A double s hole. Now a days I do not drink. And I can feel the difference.

That is the nastiest looking shack I've ever seen. But it looks warm, dry and stocked. I wouldn't turn down an offer for a warm-up and a meal if you offered it up. Right on.

I picked this up today. I should work good for when snow hits the panels. Looks like it hasn't been used much. I will have to check the hour meter. The guy said it surges with the choke off, When it is warmed up. I said dump your fuel, And replace with new fuel. He said he doesn't use it much. I got it for $100. It is a lot lighter then my HY-Spec 6500 watt with electric start. So I dumped the old fuel. Put new in. Ran it for ten minutes. She runs awesome. I will use it at the cabin when I put in new bunks and a floor. Need to use the skill saw, Drill and Vacuum cleaner. I just checked the hour meter. 2.9 hours. Wow.

I have been up there in November. The water pipe had ice on the end of it. Man was it nice and toasty in the cabin.
