As the title says, can a kydex holster be reshaped? I ask because I just got a Blackdog holster for my Mark III from Brownells and it don't fit. The reason being I have put thumb rest grips on the pistol. The frustrating part is that nowhere was this indicated in any research that I did. Put the stock grips back on and it fits 100%. (leaving the stock grips is not an option)

I either have to flare the top of the holster a bit more, I'm guessing about 3/4 of inch or as a last resort notch it so the thumb rest fits.

So, in a nutshell, can kydex be heated and reshaped or am I borrowing a friends Dremel?

Use a heat gun or hair dryer only in the area that needs work.

Kydex can certainly be reshaped. I've made myself and Old Faithful Holster kit holster for my GP6 and the first molding attempt didn't work. I literally put the whole sheet back in the oven and it flattened out completely and I just started over.

I suggest you start small and go slow. Use as little heat as you can get away with. If it doesn't work out, just try again.
