Moot since the only Remington 700 ADL still made is the 200th Anniversary Model. The ADL model was discontinued in 2005 in favour of the SPS.

What if someone wants to buy one? Wouldn't that make it unmooted? A quick search shows several versions either available or still manufactured.

I grew up using my old man's 700 ADL in .270 Win with a wood stock, early 80's vintage. It had the same shape as the BDL stock with the raised cheekpiece Monte Carlo, just missing the black fore end cap, white spacers and metal floorplate of the fancier version. That rifle fit me like a glove and I knocked down at least a half dozen deer with it (including my biggest buck to date) until the old man retired and took up hunting again, leaving me to find my own rifle. Which lead to the legendary Frankensteined K98 'fencepost', which is a whole other story.....

My father had a ADL 270 left handed. He is always telling me he wished he wouldn't of sold it. It was the fancy one. I think justices information is moot.
