First of all I have a mini 30 all weather, 580 series. Love the gun, but was looking for more than the simple blade sight it has to offer. I have been looking all over the internet with no luck In the Canadian market. I also did a search of the forums with no luck, just a lot on mini 14 as expected. I have come across a nice muzzle brake/ sight (http://sunfloweroutdoorsports.com/Mo-Reaper-Muzzle-Brake-for-Ruger-Mini-REFS.htm) from a US retailer, but they don't export! :( Just wondering if anyone has had the same want or need to change their own sight or have come across something nice. Thanks in advance!

You looking for something like the SS Choate flash suppressor with the front sight Brownell's sells for $49.99US? And appears to be exportable. Brownell's will tell you for sure if it's not. Kind of suspect it'll be a lot more than $50US though. Needs the muzzle threaded too.

You could contact Choate and ask who or if they have a Canadian distributor.

Doesn't need the muzzle threaded, it's pinned on similar to the factory sight. It's not bored out for the 30cal but any gunsmith who installs it could do that as well I'd think. Depending on how much material is there.

Something from Colburn might interest you as well. I'm not sure what you want more than a simple blade sight, but one of his offerings allows you to install any m14 sight.
I'm considering the m14 one, to install an adjustable m14 tech sight - which also means an aftermarket ar15 post could be swapped in too.

"...Doesn't need the muzzle threaded..." That'd be way better considering the cost of machining. Kind of thinking this post would be better on the 'smithy for more exposure too.

Another option

Hical.ca is their canadian dealer, I don't see one on their website but they can likely order one.
Aztech can likely import anyone you want.
