I see all these combo guns on the tradeex website in .222
Can the .222 barrel be converted to .223?

Same bullet, and bolt face I believe. Would just need to be re-chambered.

Isn't .222 longer? Not sure. I thought it was a goto for benchrest shooting for years? .222 doesn't look to be a lot more expensive? Harder to find, I guess. Hmm, now I'm loooking at Tradex combo rifles...The List, she grows....

.222 is just a hair shorter. Same diameter, same bolt face, almost the same performance.

I don't see why you couldn't convert the .222 to .223... but if you were going to spend the money to ream the chamber out, I'd go to a .222 Magnum or at least .223 AI. It might be difficult to tool up for some gunsmiths due to the over/under barrel configuration.

Personally, I'd leave it alone in .222, but I also already shoot a .222 Rem.
