This is likely why the education system has been dummied down so that future weapons builders will be to poorly educated to atempt something like this. Ban all shop tool courses will be the new battle cry of the anti crowd.

Anyone who knows their way around a shop should be able to build a functional firearm in an afternoon. Take a look at the Sten as an example. Spring, pipe, barrel, bolt. Not much more to it. You can get the parts at Canadian Tire for crying out loud.

Of course, anyone building their own Sten would be a criminal in Canada.
